What MANTA does
MANTA sailing – for preservation of Vietnam’s coastline – which is highly vulnerable to climate change,
MANTA takes Vietnamese fishermen – off over-fishing, off endangered habitats and off fossil fuels, translating their existing ocean skills to water-sports.
In turn, the sail-trained fishermen teach large groups of people water-sports and climate change survival skills, in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
The groups taught by the fishermen simultaneously help sustain the fisherman’s new livelihoods, while helping deliver the Global Goals with a zero-waste awareness campaign.
