1. MANTA addresses global ocean priorities (over-fishing, pollution, climate change mitigation/adaptation), via alternative work for fisher-folk (A-D), while helping deliver UN SDGs.
A. 2009-19, MANTA trains fishermen as national coaches/athletes, following World Sailing guidelines, modified for Vietnam.
*In turn, sail-trained fishermen teach water-sports and climate change survival skills to large youth groups, in line with international curricula.
*In turn, students help sustain fishermen’s new work. national team training and MANTA’s circular model, while delivering SDGs.
For long term sustainability, MANTA aims to:
