Watersports bring new and brilliant feelings to participants with endless benefits. Some Vietnamese are still hesitant to try watersports because of the perceived high costs. Here are the top 4 reasons why watersports service prices seem so high.

1. Expensive watersports equipment

Sailing equipment is expensive for a variety of reasons, the most important of which is to ensure safety. MANTA uses internationally-certified equipment (RS Feva, Lasers ) with high maintenance standards.

All our equipment is imported from overseas because sailing is relatively new to Vietnam, almost 200 years behind other Asian nations so there isn’t a second-hand market yet in Vietnam to drive costs down. All MANTA equipment is imported new with an Import and VAT tax of 27% including shipping costs.

Along with high expenses, it is clear that the cost of equipment is significant, making the cost of services higher than in other popular sports. MANTA equipment is 5,000 to 10,000 times the cost of a standard football.

Everyone continues to have serious concerns about climate change. The watersports equipment allows Vietnam to develop skills relevant to adaptation and resilience in the face of climate change.

2. Safety comes first then having fun

MANTA always has supervisors or lifeguards on site to ensure your safety, whether you rent equipment or learn to sail.

Before you play watersports, we have conducted risk assessments and have modified governing body guidelines for Vietnam. While you are enjoying watersports, our staff monitor your activities and come to the rescue if needed. We have first aid boxes and have given first aid training to staff so that you can enjoy your experience to the fullest for a pleasurable, secure, and dependable experience.

3. Solutions for watersports price

MANTA has a range of affordable watersports including Stand Up Paddling (SUP) and surfing, with lower-cost equipment that visitors can enjoy besides the sailing training courses, and still maintains the same quality standards.

MANTA also offers special group rates for  4-20+ people. Training costs can be cut in half from USD60/hour/person to USD35/hour/person for groups of 15-20 people.

In addition, MANTA’s sailing lessons are one of the most affordable in Muine and worldwide. The current average price for a 2-day beginner’s course at international sailing centers is around $380, compared to $240 at MANTA.

4. Must-try service in Muine!

Our clients learn on equipment which is popular and familiar worldwide but the rental costs of MANTA’s watersports equipment is lower than the rental costs of off-road motorbike riding and golfing equipment!

With expensive equipment and life safety, the price of water sports services in Vietnam is completely budget-friendly for anyone who wants to participate in a sport that improves both physical and mental health. Come try watersport services at MANTA to determine the value of the service price.

Sailing equipment might seem expensive from some points of view but it is not expensive for a variety of reasons, the most important of which is to ensure safety.
